Details : Glaswegian businesswoman Aneela aims to help one of Britain's legions of unmarried Brits, 39 year-old Helen Dunn, find a partner for life. Glaswegian businesswoman Aneela aims to help one of Britain's legions of unmarried Brits, 39 year-old Helen Dunn, find a partner for life. She uses some of the traditional methods of Asian arranged marriage with her own unique, modern twist. This is not a dating show though. Aneela is showing us that Asian culture has its own built-in introduction service, when it comes to finding someone - called friends and family. Single Brits need to wake-up.
Aneela's tough-love process is intended to force Helen to start taking responsibility for her situation and to shift her mindset from dating to marriage. The things that Aneela thinks are really important are education, family, class, goals, earning potential and attraction. These are tough things for Helen to absorb with previous boyfriends including an Athena model and an illegal immigrant.
Aneela takes Helen's friends and family in hand gets them out networking and on the look out for the right guy. This is where the fun really starts, as she shows repressed middle England how to overcome shyness and probe for man-information - after all, they're the right class, educational background, shared values etc. As Helen's family grows in confidence, Aneela proves just how vital families are in finding a husband.
With the hunt complete and hopefully the right suitor selected, the programme builds up to the meeting of the two families and the suitors being introduced. Will Aneela have turned Helen's prospects of lasting happiness around? [S]

Details : Lexi Proud has it all, except she's still single and desperate to meet her soul mate. She's now called on Asian marriage fixer Aneela Rahman to help out. Lexi Proud left school, and her home in the north-east, at the age of 16. By the age of 24 she was living in London and had worked her way up through the ranks of commercial airline hospitality to her current position as director of cabin services for a private aviation firm, flying billionaire businessmen and A-list Hollywood celebs around the globe.
Lexi owns a Porsche and a plush flat in one of London's premier postcodes. On the surface she has it all, except she's still single and desperate to meet her soul mate.
With a hectic career and social life Lexi's too busy to meet anyone and has grown tired of dating men she meets in posh bars. She's now called on Asian marriage fixer Aneela Rahman to help out.
Aneela believes strongly that Lexi's pattern of failed relationships is because shes dated outside of her class - something Lexi strongly disagrees with. Now Aneela is giving Lexi's closest friends and family just four weeks to find her a life partner based on her modern arranged marriage principles of compatibility - any potential suitors will be judged on whether they match Lexi's background, class, earnings, expectations and education. At the end of the suitor hunt Lexi must choose who she wants to meet at an Asian style introduction party.
But Lexi's group, her network, is made up of friends from two parts of her life - the past and the present. Can they work together to find her someone and will he meet Aneela's prescriptive list of principles? [S]

Arrange Me a Marriage
Summary : Former city high-flier and senior civil servant Sally Cox has just turned 40 and she's still on her own, she's called on Asian arranged marriage fixer Aneela Rahman for help.
Details : Former city high-flier and senior civil servant Sally Cox has just turned 40 and she's still on her own, she's called on Asian arranged marriage fixer Aneela Rahman for help. Sally Cox is the ultimate alpha female - a former city high-flier who now works as a senior civil servant, regularly reporting to the Prime Minister. On paper Sally has it all a top job, a good car, a four-bed house in South London and a packed social life. But Sally's just turned 40, she's still on her own and she hasn't dated properly in over a decade.
Sally believes passionately that her success elsewhere in life is overshadowed by the fact she's single and without children. In her words: It's what we've been put here for.
With nowhere else to turn she's called on Asian arranged marriage fixer Aneela Rahman to help. Aneela believes that the traditional British method of finding a partner is random and likely to fail - going out, getting drunk and relying on a cocktail of hormones and looks to find someone. She believes the key to successfully finding a life partner is through the principles of modern arranged marriage in which compatibility is crucial. Only by matching up class, education, family background, life goals and earnings will it succeed.
Armed with these principles Aneela's giving Sally's closest friends and family, her network, a month to find her a partner, who Sally will be introduced to at an Asian style introduction party. But will they succeed and can they come through the process with a better understanding of themselves and each other? [S]
